That’s the big question. Anybody can run for office and nearly everybody should be able to run for office if America is to have a government of the people, by the people and for the people. A democracy rather than an aristocracy. It’s up to a majority of the voters to decide whether or not a candidate is worthy and should be taken seriously. If we can no longer trust in the good sense of the average American citizen then American democracy is doomed anyway. Then they’ll vote for the destruction of their way of life and their own enslavement no matter how much candidates for office are screened and vetted for ‘appropriateness’.

…Had this been an actual emergency you would have heard: “AAAIIIEEEEE! Oh Jesus! We’re all gonna die!”

Heretofore I was a conspiracy skeptic. As they say, one should not attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity.

However, in the case of the Deep State Anti-Trumpers deliberate malice explains most of their actions. They continually announce out loud their desire to see God-Emperor Trump removed from office. They have proven time and again that no perfidy or sabotage is beneath or beyond them in this quest.

Therefore I believe it is quite possible that this ’false alarm’ was perpetrated on purpose.  A fake news story created with the intent of assigning blame to President Trump for the current international tension and public ‘war hysteria’. The lunatic Left clearly believes that Trump is bound and determined to start a nuclear war and must be stopped, by fair means or foul.

Hawaii is as ‘blue” a state as it is possible to be. It has a mere handful of Republican office holders. That the civil defense employee solely responsible for this blunder wasn’t terminated on the spot, AND that hordes of the residents of Hawaii are not demanding he be fired for unnecessarily scaring the daylights out them, tends to persuade me that this may be no accident.

·         Civil Defense employee accidentally hit alert, was unaware until his phone got it

·         An FCC investigation into the incident is underway, officials said

Perhaps I spoke too soon in one regard. It appears many of the residents of Hawaii ARE a trifle upset about being profoundly frightened by a false alarm after all. Nevertheless, there is a lot going on here that is suspicious, given the Anti-Trump Left’s previous words and deeds. It’s hard to believe that a warning of this nature could be released by a lone individual pushing a single button or merely clicking on a drop-down menu, and all without involving the whole state emergency management chain of command first and foremost.

"We understand that members of our community are angry about Saturday's false alarm, and we are looking at these messages as individuals blowing off steam," Rapoza said in a statement. "While we take any threat against our personnel seriously, we are doing our best not to escalate the situation."

“…we are doing our best not to escalate the situation.”  Yeah, sounds like the powers-that-be in Hawaii just want this to go away quickly, lest someone discover that they are diligently searching for some way to punish the blundering employee without really punishing him, because they are sympathetic to his Leftist politics, natch. The Left almost always circles the wagons around their wayward fellow travelers who go off script and get caught, so long as they were seeking to bring harm to the ‘enemy’.  Whereas if this employee who messed-up so spectacularly was a Right-winger, they would not only fire him on the spot, they would let the press publish his home address as well as identify what he drives and where his kids go to school.

We know now that our government bureaucracies are packed full of self-styled Leftist Social Justice Warriors (SJW) at every level from local government on up to federal level agencies. These SJW feel it to be their duty to advance the cause of ‘social justice’ at every opportunity and the force out non-SJW personnel whenever they can. So I can envision then a scenario where an SJW civil defense employee, incensed by reports of God-Emperor Trump’s alleged ‘shithole country’ remark (which is itself likely to be a bald-faced lie) and thus suffering from severe amygdala burn such that he feels an over-whelming compulsion to act to in some way to relieve that mental anguish. Finally his agitation reaches its peak when suddenly he decides to show the public what could very well happen to them so long as Trump is President by falsely broadcasting a missile attack alert. His supervisors may even have been accessories before or after that fact. They scold him for acting without orders, but at the same time assure him that they sympathize with him and will have his back on this. So the powers-that-be minimize and excuse the incident as much as they can (with the willing assistance of the Leftist-controlled media megaphone): ‘Oops… looks like we accidently fat-fingered a missile alert…sorry about that! Let’s try to learn from this and move on, OK?…This is really Trump’s fault anyway for creating this situation where people are forced to worry about a nuclear attack from North Korea in the first place. Let’s get rid of that guy!

Shortly before panicked Hawaiians stuffed children into storm drains and said their goodbyes on the morning of January 13, an unnamed employee at the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (H-EMA) accidentally selected the wrong dropdown menu choice, resulting in a live broadcast to the cell phones of Hawaii residents and tourists which read “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL," according to officials.
