As always, Africa is far ahead of the curve in the collapseology stakes, with witchcraft being common, almost as common as in places like new Guinea, which until recently had an anti-witchcraft law, and where women are still burnt alive for witchcraft.
In Nigeria though, witchcraft really works, and is not restricted to the actions of old women in the hut at the end of the village poisoning your son’s goat burger. There people are really turned into goats and other creatures by the power of magic:
“A Nigerian man was lucky to escape with his life after being viciously attacked by an angry mob who accused him of turning a person into a goat in the Nigerian state of Rivers, local media reports.
The bizarre incident allegedly took place in Rukpoku, less than 20 kilometers north of the city of Port Harcourt in southern Nigeria, according to the Daily Post.
A 36-year-old man was seen being followed around by a black goat, which somehow raised suspicions among locals who accused him of Voodooism. They reportedly suspected him of using magic to transform a human into the animal which was now chasing him.”
Maybe the goat just liked him, in a sexual kinda way. Anyway, we barbarians welcome the return (although it never really left us) of magic, ritual sacrifice and other dark and interesting things.
Hey, did you know that Vilnius is the G-spot of Europe:
What is the G-spot of our shithole: Baltimore, Detroit or Chicago? Oh, wait, here it is:
Turd America
Water finds its own level. Rituals and beliefs that we Westerners (mean IQ 100) judge barbaric and primitive are evidently effective in maintaining social order where mean IQ is 70 and time-preference extremely high. Creeds compete for believers. Those that don't augment group survival are abandoned.
