This will be especially terrifying when it comes to medical technicians and professionals, but we will just have to get used to it and trust in Allah. Third world countries are big on credentialism, as well as nepotism. Many people have their jobs there simply because ‘Bob’s your uncle’ (i.e. an important relative used his influence to secure that position for them). Nevertheless they still all have a diploma or certificate of some sort testifying to their suitability for something. One notices that the minsters in the governments of Middle Eastern countries are typically all Ph.D.’s. They are all doctor this and doctor that. However the results speak for themselves, don’t they?

Jamaica has gone from a murder rate of 3.9 per 100,000 of the population, just before independence from the British Empire in 1962, to 42.6 per 100,000 of the population in 2017 (still not as high as Baltimore).

Just like America, Jamaica has a black gang problem, and a political corruption problem. Unlike much of America, Jamaica has very restrictive gun laws. Therefore no Jamaican who is not a police officer, in the military or a criminal is allowed to have a gun. So for the Jamaican criminal element the victim selection process is much less fraught with peril than it is in many parts of the U.S.A.

Now it appears Jamaica’s crime problem has escalated into a fourth generation warfare (4GW) insurgency as the gangs there feel powerful enough to challenge the government. They clearly believe they ought to be permitted to live outside the laws of the country unimpeded by the authorities.
