I don't know what’s going on but it ain't good.

Lessons Learned with Coach James
Ron, whoever was counting tax-evaders had apparently already been in there with this guy.
Victim 1:
If you pussy out he will punish you.
Victim 2:
Don’t be a fuckin’ hero!
Victim 1:
If you are a pussy, and he punishes you, don’t hang around!
Victim 3:
When he cuts you down do not moan!
Victim 4:
If you make him work and actually hit him, do not get tired and if you do that, don’t ask for mercy.
Ron, this was bad!
I wonder if the second dude is even alive.
Being a Bad Man in a Worse World
Fighting Smart: Boxing, Agonistics & Survival
Man that was brutal! The boxer had surprisingly good kicks. The thing I didn't understand is why victims 2-4 didn't learn from victim one and just cover the face when they were on the ground. That was when the punishment began.
The big boy tried to stay up and that's why the pro boxerobviously a kickboxer as most Russian boxers arewent to the body.
I think I need more context. The "tax-man" beats his victims in a thinly-disguised assault, and yet the latter are wearing gloves. Why would anyone put on gloves to get worked over by a stand-over man? And why wouldn't the thug just beat his victims to a pulp in an alley?
I don't have any context, except that the video said their were 8 beatings. I don't even want to see the other 4.
I guess is they put the gloves on so it could be said to be mutual and that they had been threatened with the actual thing in the alley or worse as an alternative.
I guess it was an educational film for the benefit of the majority of compliant "tax-payers". A sporting bout would allow wide dissemination with less risk of criminal charges. A bit like the Jolly Roger flag relied heavily on reputation, actual violence often less profitable and riskier than an implied threat thereof.
It just struck me you'd probably find this work by Leeson as fascinating as I did, given your interest in the ecology of crime.

I'm no boxing expert, but Chris Scales has a good core-muscle workout series.
